Anonymous asked: I'm 18 and this guy that I really really like is
24. He is six years older than me and I don't know if that is too much
of an age difference to be in an acceptable relationship. Should I go
for it if he's into me or is the age difference too much?
Nah
that’s fine. But be wary of anyone older than you who tells you “you’re
more mature than other people your age.” This line is almost always
bullshit. It plays on the insecurities (or ego) of the younger person,
and is a really effective way (/commonly used tactic) to manipulate the
naïve. 24 year old boys can be crafty bastards. Don’t be taken advantage
of. Know what YOU want. Be kind, be respectful, be honest - and demand
the same treatment from others. Good luck, and enjoy the vaguely naughty
age disparity.
